In September 2003, 14 years ago, Pastor Michael Washington, led by the power and spirit of God founded New Vision Outreach Ministries. With Much prayer, fasting and prayer for 6 months God spoke instructions to Pastor Washington for setting up this ministry. The first services were held in Gonzales, Louisiana at the home of Pastor and Minister Washington. With much prayer and supplication we began having services at Southall's Funeral Home in Donaldsonville. For 2 1/2 years, The ministry grew and praised God mightily. Many souls were saved and added to the body. The ministry grew numerically, financially and spiritually. In 2005 the ministry purchased the present building at 810 W 10th St in Donaldsonville, La. New Vision campus is 5 acres of land that runs from Hwy 1 to the banks of the Mississippi River. A property including the building valued at $450,000, of which the ministry have paid off to less than $100,000. Many improvements have been made to improve the building. Another building was purchased in 2015 to be utilized for the school. The hand of God has and is still upon us. He has indeed brought us from a mighty long way. In 2016 our building flooded. God walked us through it and has allowed us to remodel and continue to serve the Lord. We are a work in progress.
Throughout the history of this church we have fed the children, ministered to senior citizens, given aid to families in need, donated to tornado victims, distributed clothing to whoever needed them, visited nursing homes, participated and sponsored revivals, facilitated women conferences, prayer breakfast, men day and many other services to give God Praise. Many have accepted Christ as their service and been baptized. The membership has grown. We thank God for using us to affect the community.
The Lord has allowed us to fellowship not only in Louisiana but yearly we have been able to fellowship in a church trip to different states throughout America. As a body we have been to Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Texas, Florida, Missouri, Arkansas and Tennessee.
Since its beginning, Pastor Washington has been a strong spiritual leader, prayer warrior, teaching and preaching the word of God. Much talent can be found at New Vision through those who lead and participate. New Vision has become a sanctuary for families, a place of worship, a venue for study and fellowship.

There is a word of Scripture that has always strengthened us during our years of service here at New Vision. These words are from Paul's first letter to the Corinthians. This verse reads as follows;
"Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding the work of the Lord, knowing that the Lord, your labor is not in vain." (1 Cor. 15:58)
Our prayer is that God will keep his hands on us, and continue to Lead and Guide us. Our Service starts at 9:00am every Sunday.
